Called to the Bar in 1970, James is widely respected not only for his experience and expertise in white-collar crime but also his handling of miscarriage of justice cases such as Sally Clark and Stefan Kiszko.
The Legal 500 (2007 edition) confirmed that James is ‘widely respected for miscarriage of justice instructions’. He is listed as one of the leading juniors by Chambers UK and The Legal 500.
James has chambers at Lincoln House in Manchester.
James is a trustee of the Historic Chapels Trust which in Todmorden, looks after the Unitarian Church.
