Town Hall Designs

Thirteen designs for Todmorden's Grade 1 Listed Town Hall are to go on display on Friday 12th and Saturday 13th June.

You are invited to take a look at thirteen designs from architects both locally and nationally which are to be put on display in Todmorden Town Hall on Friday 12 and Saturday 13 June.

The invitation to submit plans was issued in April, following the public consultation on the future of the Town Hall. A design brief was produced by the Todmorden Town Hall Development Group, this was based on the results of the consultation and, as the Town Hall is a Grade 1 Listed building, the requirements of English Heritage.

Community Services Portfolio Holder, Cllr Ian Cooper says;

"It is encouraging to see that there has been such a positive interest from architects in our Town Hall. It is essential to find a design that is imaginative and that not only develops the building but also preserves its character."
